Father’s Day Scallop Pond Paddle

Sebonac Inlet Road, Southampton

Please join us for a nature paddle, led by wildlife biologist Mike Bottini, through the pristinely beautiful Sebonac Creek-Scallop Pond estuary, conserved with the help of the Peconic Land Trust. We’ll explore the wetlands, marshland and waterways looking for wildlife, and may even see female diamondback terrapins laying eggs in the area.

Limited space available, pre-paid registration required. Bring your own kayak or canoe for $10 per person. Rain cancels.

Evening Paddle on Alewife Brook

Sunday, July 26, 6:30-8:30PM

We’ll take advantage of the tide and evening light to paddle scenic Alewife Brook in Cedar Point County Park, following the water route of a beaver that made this area its home in 2006, and otter that periodically visited. Learn about the current status of each of these semi-aquatic and unique creatures. Kayak and SUP rentals available. Meet at the end of Alewife Brook Road. Leader: Mike Bottini 631-267-5228.
