Nature Paddle: Focus – Horseshoe Crabs

5/25/20139 am – 11 am – Saturday

Leader: Mike Bottini, Naturalist

Join us on a leisurely paddle through Goose Creek in Three Mile Harbor to observe horseshoe crab mating and egg laying. We will discuss the ecological role of this unusual creature, as well as its unique adaptations.

Singe Kayaks ($40), Tandem Kayaks and canoes ($60) and standup paddleboards ($50) are available to rent (and include lifejacket), or bring your own.

Intro to Standup Paddleboarding

Acabonac Harbor

6/8/2013 – 9am-11am – Saturday


An opportunity to try stand-up paddleboarding, which provides a great paddling vantage point on the water to observe wildlife beneath the surface in addition to the flora and fauna on and around the water. No experience necessary. Standup paddleboards available for rent: $50 (includes paddle and PFD). Please contact us for rentals and reservations.


Montauk Spring Weekend

Spend an extended weekend at the eastern tip of Long Island during peak spring orchid and heather bloom. This trip includes double occupancy accommodations at the luxurious Manor House, five meals, five guided hikes, two evening programs, and a star watch, plus free pickup at the Montauk LIRR station. See nesting pine and prairie warblers, and visit a cranberry bog with flowering orchids and sundews. Easy hiking in woodlands and on the dunes, beach, and bluffs.
